Snow

Guess what? Its 6:35AM right now, and it is snowing in southern Louisiana. And it is accumulating, as well. Too bad my camera is broken, or I would have pictures to show, but I don't, since my camera is broken. I've never been so happy to be awake at 6AM ever. Seriously. And if you were wondering, right now it is 34F here, and at home in Virginia it is 40F and all they are getting is rain. I definitley think I'd rather be here in the snow.

I heard as I was pulling into the office that you had 4 inches on the ground. That must be a sight in that area. Those from the area must be besides themselves with glee or panic if it stays around too long.

We may get some snow here tonight and tomorrow morning. Enjoy it while you can - it may be all you get for the entire winter.

is that normal for there?

At least on campus, I don't believe we got 4 inches. Unless it stayed snowing long after I went back to sleep. I'd say maybe a little over 1 inch, maybe 1.5. Most of its melted because it changed back to rain after a while, but there still is some on the ground.

And Jenn, no it is not normal at all. It rarely ever snows/ice/any winter weather down here. For a number of people (including one of my friends from Mobile, Alabama just a little East of here) this was their first time seeing snow.
